Genius new haircare brand Cuvée Beauty gives new meaning to the term “champagne shower“. The story behind the brand is as unique as the ingredients. During her 21st birthday bash in Las Vegas, Cuvée Beauty founder Rachel Katzman ended up with champagne soaked hair and fell in love with the effect it had on her locks. Katzman knew right then and there that she had to bottle this bubbly goodness for mass consumption.
The seven-piece Cuvée lineup includes a shampoo & conditioner, an in-shower treatment, a styling spray, a protective treatment, a styling balm and a new volumizing mist. Each product in the range includes the unique Cuvée Complex – a luxurious blend of champagne, white truffle and platinum extracts, to name a few. Cuvée products are unisex and designed to work on all hair types. They’re also sulfate-free, paraben-free, cruelty-free and safe for color treated hair. I had the opportunity to try a handful of Cuvée Beauty products and they’ve quickly become the hero products in my routine.
Cuvée Beauty Shampoo: The first thing that immediately hooked me, was the intoxicating scent! The champagne & fig fragrance is so luxurious. Even after my hair has dried, the fragrance still lingers (in a good way). The shampoo works into a gentle lather and leaves my hair feeling soft and shiny. I’ve seen no fading of my hair color – it’s super gentle color-treated hair.
Cuvée Beauty Conditioner: The conditioner is the perfect follow-up to their magical shampoo. It hydrates without leaving the hair feeling heavy or weighed down. I’m currently in the process of lightening my hair back to it’s baby blonde glory and I credit Cuvée Beauty for helping to keep my hair in tip-top shape between colorist visits.
Cuvée Beauty Protective Treatment: This serum spray is a magical, all-in-one treatment within the Cuvée family and my hero hair product of the summer! The Protective Treatment can be used on wet or dry hair to provide protection against UV damage and heat styling. Without a good blowout & a flat iron, my hair typically mimics a lion’s mane – but the Protective Treatment leaves my hair smooth, shiny and almost completely frizz-free (which is a huge undertaking for any product). It also helped my hair fight back against the New England humidity during the heat wave last week. I predict that the bottle will last the entire summer, as I only need a small amount of product with each application to achieve amazing results.
Cuvée Beauty Champagne Spray: This styling spray is another summer staple for anyone who loves beachy, lived-in, tousled hair. It has the same dreamy scent as the other Cuvée Beauty products and delivers the perfect, piece-y texture to the hair. Unlike other texture and salt sprays, Champagne Spray never leaves my hair feeling dry and dehydrated. I’m obsessed with the glossy separation I get from this spray, all while keeping my hair soft and touchable.
