I fell in love with @prose custom hair products (*gifted) four years ago and haven’t looked back. Their original trio of customized products (shampoo, conditioner, pre-cleanse hair mask) saved my hair after an unfortunate bleaching incident. Their hair oil gave me the same warm and fuzzy feeling when I first tried my formula.

When the genius folks at Prose reached out, I was excited to see how the new formula would differ from my last bottle of their hair oil. Our hair, our needs and our environment changes over the years and, as much as I loved the last bottle, I knew that my hair had evolved since taking my last hair quiz. The online consultation asks questions about you, your hair type, your lifestyle and your preferences, then creates a custom blend of products specifically designed for you.

My new custom hair oil felt lighter than it’s predecessor - light enough to use on wet or dry hair. It smooths, hydrates and adds shine to my hair without weighing it down. One of my main concerns was frizz and Prose absolutely nailed it! Even with the New England humidity, I notice that my hair stays smooth and shiny.

Another dreamy serum from @herbivorebotanicals. I fell in love with their Moon Fruit Sleep Mask, so when #herbivorebotanicalsgiftedme their Moon Fruit Retinol Alternative Serum with 1% Bakuchiol + Peptides, I couldn’t wait to try it.

It’s been nearly three weeks since I began working this into my routine and it’s really lovely. The texture feels substantial and super hydrating, which makes my dry skin happy. I’ve noticed a softening of my fine lines and an overall improvement in my skin. While I am a fan of retinol, I do absolutely love this serum so far. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is sensitive to retinol as well as those who can tolerate it. A true gem! 💎

Back at it after a short break from socials with the dreamiest product from @amika. #amikagiftedme their new Dream Routine Overnight Hydration Treatment and I was blown away by this hair mask. Amika seriously knocked this one out of the park.

This mask can be used on wet or dry hair (I prefer dry) and is applied before bed. The texture feels like a lotion but goes on the hair light like an oil. Sometimes applying a cream product to dry hair can weigh it down, but this feels lightweight and airy, melting right into my hair. It almost immediately softens and smooths, but works it’s real magic overnight. I could feel a difference in my hair when I woke up, especially on my ends. My hair felt amazing - second to a fresh haircut. I am in awe of how smooth and hydrated my hair feels when I use this.

Dream Routine comes in a glass bottle with a pump (bonus points!) and it smells intoxicating, as most Amika products do. I use about 2-3 pumps for my shoulder length hair. My bleached hair is looking and feeling healthier thanks to this overnight mask. Highly recommend!

My latest obsession is lip oils. I’ve been wearing Merit’s Shade Slick & Ilia’s Balmy Gloss on repeat. Both are super hydrating and wearable. I have a handful of the Balmy Gloss colors, but just added Shade Slick in Bel Aire, Cara Cara and Au Natural to my @sephora cart because I love the formula so much. Also super impressed with Cool Gloss from Jones Road Beauty. The staying power is fantastic and it isn’t sticky or thick. Each product that I’ve tried from Jones Road has been beautiful, but this is hands down one of my favorites.

The dreamiest, absolutely can’t live without, multi-purpose product that I own is hands down the Beauty Elixir from @caudalieus. #Caudaliegiftedme this bottle (hello new packaging!) but I’ve been using this mist for years and have gone through more bottles of this gem than I can count. 🍇

We all love a good multi-use, it-does-everything product. I quite literally use Beauty Elixir for every part of my routine. I keep a bottle on my bedside table and mist in the morning. I also spritz my skin with Beauty Elixir to begin my morning and evening skincare regimen, and often to finish as well. I adore using it for makeup application. I use this mist when applying cream foundations in particular. It adds moisture to my dry skin, helps my foundation to blend more easily and creates a dewy, youthful glow. I’ll dot my foundation onto my skin, then sometimes mist my face directly or I’ll spray a few pumps of Beauty Elixir onto a beauty sponge. It also makes for a lovely setting spray and feels so cooling and refreshing as a midday mist.

One of my all-time favorite beauty treats to myself is to put this bottle on ice (or in a skincare fridge) and to mist my face, neck and décolletage on a hot summer day. It’s so rejuvenating and refreshing, not to mention amazing for parched skin.

On top of the many skincare benefits, there is something magical about the classic Caudalie scent in this face mist that I can’t get enough of. (If you know, you know!) It smells luxurious, like you’re pampering yourself with each spritz. I love the scent so much that I’ll even mist it on my pillow before bed. (Thank me later!)

Feeling the urge to start traveling much more this year and daydreaming about where to wander off to next. Like so many others, I stopped or cut down on my traveling during the pandemic. The last place I visited outside of New England was NYC back in September, which is just a car ride away and, to me, doesn’t really count despite the fact that it’s one of my favorite cities in the world.

At the top of my travel bucket list - Tokyo, Reykjavík, Thailand, the Philippines, Bali & a cross country road trip of America. Tell me about your dream destination!

I can’t remember whether I’ve raved before about the @moonjuice Acid Potion, but if I haven’t, allow me to share my love for this product. This chemical exfoliant delivers serious results. I’ve heard it compared to Lotion P50, which I’ve never tried and can’t speak to the comparison, but Acid Potion was a game changer for my skin. It is potent and does sting a bit, but the feeling fades quickly for me. If you have sensitive skin, it’s something to be aware of. I use it once or twice per week and my skin is just glowing! It contains a whopping 25% acid content featuring lactic, salicylic and glycolic acids, plus the addition of niacinamide. A little tricky to get out of the bottle, but well worth the effort!

Also madly in love with the @rarebeauty Lip Soufflé Matte Cream Lipstick in the shade “inspire”. I’m typically more of a pinky-nude lip girl and am partial to a glossier lip, but I wore this a few weeks ago and it’s been on rotation ever since. This particular red has a hint of coral/orange that I wasn’t expecting to like, but I was pleasantly surprised how much I liked it. It’s a nice matte lipstick for those of us who don’t really like matte lipsticks. 💋

When this dreamy blue bottle that #youthtothepeoplegiftedme arrived at my doorstep, I had a feeling it would be amazing. Firstly, @youthtothepeople has never left me disappointed. Secondly, they describe it as “a welcome oasis for desert-dry skin”, which is exactly what I need. Lastly, the ingredients are stellar - three peptides, hyaluronic acid and organic cactus. Yes! 🌵💦

I’m talking about the Triple Peptide + Cactus Oasis Hydrating Serum. I try to give serums a good 3-4 week test run before writing a review whenever possible, but it only took a few days to realize how incredible this serum is. If you have dry skin, this is a godsend. It sinks into the skin within seconds and delivers an incredible plumping effect. I’ve taken to using this in the morning, but also love layering it with other serums at night (retinoids + peptides = power couple).

On another note, I’m dying to add the YTTP Retinal + Niacinamide Youth Serum to my skincare arsenal. These two serums might be magical together. Tell me your favorite YTTP product?

Happy Friday lovelies! I’m sure you know by now that I’m obsessed with @luvaj jewelry - especially their classic pieces. My most worn pieces are definitely the Amalfi hoops.
