If you caught my last post, you’d know that we’re in the process of renovating and redecorating the majority of our home, starting with the living room. Being as the sofa is the centerpiece of any living space, we’re starting there! I have done a lot of scouring the internet to find the best sofa for our individual needs. I’ve stumbled across plenty of quality stores online, including Lulu & Georgia, with a large variety of high-end sofas; I was spoilt for choice! Personally, I love a good leather sofa! I’ve compiled a list of the 8 best tan leather sofas on my radar.
In choosing a sofa, I need something that fits my lifestyle. I have a young son and two small dogs (who spend more than half of their lives cuddled up on my sofa). Leather is an obvious choice, as most leather seating just gets better with age and wear. I’m partial to an aged leather look due to the fact that any scratches from my dog’s nails would just add to the character and patina of the sofa.
I initially fell in love with the Monroe Sofa from West Elm, but in searching for other options, I discovered Article, an internet-based furniture store. Article stocks the most beautiful pieces at reasonable prices. To be honest, the thought of buying a sofa online, without being able to touch it or test it for comfort, scared me at first, but reading a number of outstanding reviews by bloggers that I trust calmed my nerves. I’m leaning towards a neutral tan/brown, as it’s a timeless classic that will last for years.
