It’s that time of year again – the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is going on now & public access starts tomorrow! Here’s your guide to shopping the #NSale, complete with important dates, my picks & tips to make the most of one of the greatest sales of the year.
WHAT MAKES THE NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE SPECIAL?
Most sales occur at the end of the season, but the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale provides great deals on items from the upcoming season before they become available to the public. Stock up on fall basics, a great coat for winter or get a head start on back to school shopping. You can score great items that you’ll be purchasing anyway for a fraction of the price.
IMPORTANT DATES
This year’s Nordstrom Anniversary Sale started on for early access on July 13th and continues until August 6, 2017. Nordstrom credit card holders can shop the early access portion of the sale, from July 13-20, a week before the sale opens to the public. If you’re not interested in opening up a credit card, Nordstrom has a great debit option which deducts from your checking account. Public access to the sale begins July 21, 2017. Remember, on August 7th, prices go back to normal, so be sure to act quickly.
HOW TO SHOP THE #NSALE
I can’t stress enough how important it is to shop early. Browse the catalog online and make a list of merchandise that you love. I would recommend shopping online to avoid the crowds. Nordstrom offers a store pick-up option, so you can shop online from the comfort of your home and pick up at your local store. Click here to find your nearest store. Some Nordstrom stores even offer curbside pickup, so there’s no need to even get out of your car! Nordstrom also offers free standard shipping & free returns on most items, so feel free to order two sizes of your favorite piece, just to ensure that it fits. If you prefer home delivery to store pickup, here are the current shipping prices for Nordstrom orders.

WHAT TO BUY?
I always try not to impulse buy or pick up something just because it’s on sale. Instead, try taking an inventory of your fall wardrobe and identifying pieces that you’re missing. Invest in great basics, like this amazing leather jacket or a great pair of jeans. Make a list of your favorite brands and search the sale online. If something you love is sold out, bookmark it and check back. Often times, merchandise will get restocked throughout the sale. I’ve curated my favorite picks from the sale in just about every category to get you started. Subscribe to my email list to stay in the loop! I’ll be posting my favorite new finds throughout the sale.
